Darren Moore appointed Sheffield Wednesday's new boss as Owls bid to make late charge out of Championship relegation zone after losing four games on the trot

Sheffield Wednesday have appointed Darren Moore as their new manager.

Moore left his role at League One Doncaster Rovers to take over at Hillsborough.

Moore has an impressive average of more than 1.5 points per game across three divisions consisting of the Premier League and Championship with West Brom, then most recently in League One with Doncaster.

He leaves his previous club in a comfortable promotion position. Moore’s challenge in the short term is to keep Wednesday in the Championship.
