ALBION's youngsters suffered a 4-1 defeat away to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
First-half goals from Vilius Piliukaitis and Jack Vale did the damage for a strong Blackburn side who dominated the majority of the play in the opening period.
Albion's best chance came just before the break via a Jamie Soule strike which produced a fine save from the Blackburn goalkeeper.
The second half saw Albion start brightly and looked like they would get back in the game before Vale struck again to make it 3-0 in the 62nd minute.
Finley Thorndike scored moments later to hand the Baggies a reprieve before Soule again came close to reducing arreas.
