Middlesbrough are set to sign Watford midfielder Adlene Guedioura with the player having a medical at the Riverside, sources close to Watford have told ESPN FC.
Middlesbrough have agreed a fee in the region of £4 million with Watford for Guedioura and they have beaten off interest from Hull to land the 31-year-old.
Boro boss Aitor Karanka has been keen to bolster his midfield options after losing out on previous targets Robert Snodgrass, Bojan Krkic and Jese.
Guedioura has only just returned from the African Nations Cup with Algeria, where he featured in all three group games.
