Watford striker Mauro Zarate could miss the rest of the season after rupturing ligaments in his knee in 1-1 draw with West Ham

Watford's Argentine striker Mauro Zarate faces months on the sidelines after suffering a serious knee injury in Saturday's 1-1 draw with West Ham.

The player needed eight minutes of treatment on the pitch before he was taken off on a stretcher.

On Sunday he posted a message on his Instagram account confirming he had ruptured his cruciate ligaments but vowed to come back stronger.
