Derby County have made an offer for Watford striker Matej Vydra.
The 24-year-old Vydra started the League Cup defeat against Gillingham and has four years left on his contract.
He joined Watford on loan from Udinese in 2012 and was the Championship's player of the year in his first season, scoring 20 goals.

The Czech Republic international has a fight on his hands to get into the Hornets' first team this season, with Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo having cemented themselves as the first-choice strike force.
