Watford are monitoring developments with Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah.
The 22-year-old has one year left on contract and is due to discuss his future with Antonio Conte, wary that his first team opportunities will remain limited at Stamford Bridge.
Chalobah has had six spells on loan since 2012 - when he spent a season on loan with the Hornets in the Championship, scoring five goals in 38 appearances.
The midfielder, who has also had loan spells with Nottingham Forest, Middlesbrough, Burnley, Reading and Napoli, is also wanted by Italian side Torino.
