Walter Mazzarri's Watford are in talks to sign Alaves defender Kiko Femenia.
The 26-year-old right-back will be a free agent in the summer and has held discussions over a three year contract and is close to an agreement.
Femenia formerly played for Barcelona's B side and Real Madrid's second string.
Barcelona have expressed interest in Watford full-back Juanfran who is on loan at Deportivo.
Following last weekend's FA Cup games, Watford return to Premier League action on Saturday when they face West Ham at Vicarage Road.
