Watford 1-4 Tottenham Hotspur: Spurs enter top four with resounding win

Tottenham moved into the Premier League top four with a resounding 4-1 victory over a lacklustre Watford side at Vicarage Road.

The Hornets, hampered by an extensive injury list in the run-up to the game, were dealt another blow in the warm-up when Juan Camilo Zuniga was ruled out of the match with a knock.

Walter Mazzarri’s men never seemed to recover from that blow, and there could be no complaining when a double from Harry Kane and Dele Alli’s solo strike handed Spurs a 3-0 lead at half-time.

Alli added his second 58 seconds after the break, but despite a consistent run of mistakes from the Watford defence, the Lilywhites failed to add to their tally before the final whistle - Younes Kaboul netting a consolation for the hosts in injury time.
