Steven Gerrard's 'mad' cousin 'threw two live SNAKES into the dressing room' for a laugh, says Troy Deeney, as he recalls the craziest pranks during his spell at Walsall... including the time a team-mate left a DEAD rat in his car with the seatbelt on

Troy Deeney has opened up on some of the staggering pranks he has been on the receiving end of during his career - which have even included the use of snakes and rats.

Birmingham City striker Deeney, 34, is best known for his 11 year-spell at Watford - where he scored 140 goals in 419 games - but he made his breakthrough in professional football at Walsall between 2006-10.

And he recalled some extraordinary stories from his time with the Saddlers which he admitted would probably not be appropriate in the modern day.
