Man United loaned Heaton to a number of clubs in the early part of his career and he played for Swindon, Wycombe and Rochdale among others. When they decided to release him he joined Cardiff permanently before moving to Bristol City. Burnley picked him up in 2013 and Heaton was key to their promotion last season, the goalkeeper has also played his way into the England set up at the age of 30, becoming the first Burnley player to play for England in 42 years. There is also a shout for Heurelho Gomes at Watford.
“I could see his potential from the first days of the summer training camp,” Chelsea manager Antonio Conte said, adding he found it incredible someone of his class has been underestimated for so long.
