Joey Barton believes there should be penalties introduced for Premier League clubs who sack their manager during the campaign.

Marco Silva became the eighth Premier League boss to lose his job this season when he was axed by Watford on Sunday.

Spaniard Javi Gracia was appointed as Silva’s successor later the same day, with the 47-year-old becoming the fifth manager in a little more than three years under the Pozzo family’s ownership.
