Luton slam 'Watford fan' who let off yellow and red FLARE during the sides' minute's silence for Prince Philip ahead of kick-off as club reveal rival supporter's 'number plate has been passed onto authorities'

Luton Town have slammed an alleged Watford fan who chucked flares into the Championship's Kenilworth Road ground during the minute's silence honouring Prince Philip.

As the Hornets and Hatters players stood arm-in-arm paying tribute to the Duke of Edinburgh, who died last week aged 99, yellow and red smoke could be seen billowing across the pitch towards the teams.

The Bedfordshire club released a tweet saying: 'To the Watford fan who didn't realise the yellow and red flare thrown into the ground would turn orange.
