Kiko Femenia leaves Watford to join Villarreal on a three-year deal after five years at Vicarage Road... with forward Kwadwo Baah set to follow him out the exit door by joining Fortuna Dusseldorf

Watford have confirmed that Kiko Femenia has joined Villarreal on a three-year deal - ending his five-year stay at Vicarage Road.

The full-back, 31, returns to Spain after expressing a wish to return to his homeland to be closer to his family and will link up with new boss Unai Emery.

Femenia joined the Hornets in 2017, and went on to play 151 times for the club, scoring two goals.

During his spell at Watford, the Spanish defender reached the FA Cup Final with the club in 2019 and was part of the promotion winning squad in 2021.
