Huddersfield 1-1 Brentford: Bees' slim automatic promotion hopes take a hit as they fail to capitalise on Mads Bech Sorensen's early second half equaliser

Brentford's automatic promotion hopes suffered a big blow on Saturday as they were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw at Huddersfield.

The Terriers got off to the perfect start in the seventh minute through Lewis O'Brien's strike.

However, Mads Bech Sorensen got Brentford back on level terms five minutes into the second half and were pushing for that all-important winner.

But that crucial goal didn't come and Brentford remain nine points off second-placed Watford with eight matches remaining.
