'He showed me no respect!': Ben Foster reveals Fabio Capello caused his England retirement after Italian forced him to show up for friendly despite his wife being in labour... and then left him on the bench!

Ben Foster has explained how Fabio Capello's treatment led to the keeper withdrawing from England duty, accusing the Italian of being disrespectful.

The veteran Watford stopper had a sporadic England career, appearing eight times for the Three Lions and only once at a major tournament.

Capello managed England from 2007 to 2012 in an era of woeful underachievement, culminating in a quarter-final exit from the European Championships, despite access to players like Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard and John Terry.
