The Mystics announced on Monday that they have signed Belgian guard Kim Mestdagh to a training camp contract. Mestdagh is most famous here in Washington as one of the key players on the Belgium women’s national basketball team alongside forward Emma Meesseman. But for the USA in general, she’s most famous for being a former star for the Colorado State Rams.
In a press release, General Manager and Head Coach Mike Thibault said that Mestdagh “was one of the great revelations of the past World Cup cycle. Along with Emma Meesseman, Kim helped lead the Belgium National Team to its most successful finish in international competition.
