Wizards won’t extend qualifying offer to Devin Robinson after arrest

The Wizards announced they will not give Devin Robinson a qualifying offer in free agency after he was arrested early Saturday morning.

The Washington Post and NBC Washington are reporting Robinson was hospitalized and arrested after getting into an altercation with Eagles safety Jalen Mills outside of Opera Lounge in D.C. on Saturday morning.

The team said “We are aware of the incident this morning involving Devin and are disappointed in his actions. We will not extend a qualifying offer to him for the 2019-20 season.”

Fred Katz of The Athletic noted that as a two-way player with two years of service, Robinson would have been eligible for a partially-guaranteed, one-year minimum offer.
