Lamond Murray Jr. blocked a shot attempt by Sheldon Mac as time expired to hand the Wizards an 89-88 loss on Wednesday evening.
With the loss, the Wizards are now 0-4 and eliminated from tournament action.
Things started out promising for Washington, first with Miami announcing that Bam Adebayo and Okaro White would be rested by the team as they faced their third game in three days. Washington took advantage, as they jumped out to a 49-41 lead going into halftime, fueled primarily by their bench.
However, Miami ripped off an 11-2 run to open the second half and retake the lead.
