The Wizards hit the road for the first time this preseason, taking on the 76ers in Philadelphia on Thursday night. The Wizards won’t be playing against the number one overall pick from this past summer’s draft, Ben Simmons, as the rookie broke his foot in training camp. However, the Wizards players will see the No. 3 pick of the 2014 draft in Joel Embiid for the first time.
The Wizards will be eyeing a bounceback effort defensively after allowing the Heat to shoot 55 percent from the field and 48 percent from three-point range on Tuesday night.
Rookie Tomas Satoransky will be looking to string together two strong performances in a row after logging eight points, six assists and five rebounds in his Wizards preseason debut.
