Washington survived two lengthy delays, two blown leads, and two overtimes to defeat the 76ers 125-119 for their first win of the 2016 preseason.
The Wizards were up by 8 with 2:34 left in regulation, but the 76ers went on an 11-3 run, keyed in part by a pair of costly turnovers by the Wizards in the closing seconds to force overtime.
It looked like they would escape after only one overtime thanks to a clutch bucket by Kelly Oubre with 30 seconds left, but Hollis Thompson responded with a three pointer on the other end to tie it back up and extend a game with no meaning for an extra five minutes.
