The Wizards defeated the 76ers 100-79 in what was a much more satisfying result than their double-overtime meeting last week. Both teams struggled offensively out of the gate, neither team scored until a Marcin Gortat free throw three minutes into the first quarter. This poor shooting continued for most of the first half where both teams shot under 40 percent.
The game was relatively close going into halftime, with the Wizards leading by 12, but they quickly ended any hope of a Sixers comeback with a hot start to the third quarter that put them up by more than 30.
