The Washington Wizards' underwhelming season damaged a lot of things: It cost Randy Wittman his job, it hurt their appeal to free agents, and based on new numbers from the Sports Business Journal, it dealt a big blow to their local TV ratings. According to the new report, the Wizards' local ratings dropped 34 percent, the fourth-biggest drop among the 27 teams SBJ was able to analyze.
Honestly, it shouldn't come as a surprise the Wizards were among the teams with the sharpest drops from last season. Not only did Washington underwhelm this season, but it came on the heels of one of their most successful seasons in the cable TV era.
