Wizards sign Lavoy Allen to training camp deal

Lavoy Allen signed a training camp deal with the Wizards on Wednesday, according to his representation.

The six-year NBA veteran will have a chance at training camp to compete for the Wizards’ last remaining roster spot. If he doesn’t make the cut, he will have the opportunity to stay close and sign with Washington’s new G-League team. The Capital City Go-Go acquired Allen’s G-League rights as part of the expansion draft this summer.

He will compete at training camp with Chasson Randleanother player with NBA experience the Go-Go hold rights to—as well as Devin Robinson and Jordan McRae, who are on two-way contracts that allow them to spend up to 45 days on the Wizards’ roster.
