Wizards see first Summer League game postponed due to coronavirus outbreak

The Washington Wizards had their regular season ravaged by COVID-19. Now, its Summer League schedule has also been gutted by the virus.

The NBA postponed the Wizards’ first Summer League game Sunday when Washington was scheduled to face the Indiana Pacers due to coronavirus issues among the team.

Second-year guard Cassius Winston, rookie guard Issuf Sanon and rookie big man Isiah Todd were placed in the league’s COVID-19 protocols, while additional contact tracing left the Wizards short of the mandatory number of players required to play.
