The Washington Wizards have interviewed Phoenix Suns assistant coach Kevin Young in the first round of interviews for their head coaching vacancy, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
Young has been a head coach for two G-League teams including the now-Delaware Blue Coats (twice from 2010-11 as the Utah Flash and from 2014-17 as the Delaware 87ers) and the now-Iowa Wolves from 2011-13 when they were known as the Iowa Energy. After his time in Delaware, Young joined the Philadelphia 76ers as an assistant from 2017-20 on Brett Brown’s staff and joined the Phoenix suns this past season on Monty Williams’.
