Wizards cut experiment short with young player opening up an additional roster spot

The Washington Wizards continue making roster moves as the offseason unfolds and this time it comes at the expense of two-way player Jaylen Martin.

Washington opted to request waivers on Martin on Monday evening after spending the last year as a member of the Wizards G-League affiliate.

As a member of the Capital City Go-Go, the 6-foot-6 guard averaged 14.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists across 20 games.
