This time, general manager Will Dawkins has opted to try his hand on bringing in another former first-round pick by signing big man Skal Labissiere.
Labissiere returns to the NBA on a deal to join the Wizards training camp roster, in addition to Alondes Williams, who has also been signed to compete for a roster spot in Washington.
After a one-and-done college career at Kentucky, Labissiere entered the 2016 NBA Draft with high expectations as a former top recruit.
The former Wildcat was selected with the No. 28 overall pick by the Sacramento Kings and in his first two seasons in Sac-Town, he showed flashes of his potential to be a reliable frontcourt option.
