Wizards and Mystics react to Derek Chauvin murder conviction

On Tuesday afternoon, a Hennepin County, Minn. jury found former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin guilty of three charges, including the unintentional second-degree murder of George Floyd.

The original incident happened on May 25, 2020 when Floyd was arrested due to the suspected use of counterfeit money at a convenience store. And while Floyd was handcuffed in custody, Chauvin placed his knee on his neck for nine minutes and 29 seconds while three other police officers helped restrain him or were complicit. A smartphone video of the incident went viral, sparking protests throughout the United States and the world.
