Randy Wittman‘s time as head coach of the Washington Wizards will end very soon.
We all knew that it was coming.
The Wizards failed to get better this season after making the Eastern Conference Semifinals in two straight seasons. Injuries and poor roster construction are the primary reasons why the Wizards were miserable this season, but Wittman deserved some of the blame too.
Washington wanted to play with an increased pace-and-space. Wittman, who’s coached a traditional style of basketball for virtually his entire life, was tasked with changing his identity.
