Think about all of the players that have come and gone for the Washington Wizards over the past five years or so. There haven’t been many good ones, to be quite frank.
But, ask yourself this question: why haven’t the players been good?
Ernie Grunfeld, as flawed as he is, hasn’t done an awful job at finding players that were highly touted. For the most part, we’ve all expected the Washington Wizards to get better over the past several years. This season, it didn’t happen.
Grunfeld has certainly botched numerous draft picks and free agent signings, but he’s also gotten credit for finding potential gems.
