Washington Wizards Start 2016-17 Season With Fresh Roster, But Same Sloppy Result

The Washington Wizards‘ season officially began on Thursday night against the Atlanta Hawks. For some in the district, that means it’s time to break out a Los Angeles Lakers jersey.

It’s only been one game – a loss, even – but things are supposed to be different this year.

The scapegoat, Randy Wittman, is gone. Losses that shouldn’t have ended in such a fashion should be a thing of the past.

With that said, the core has remained intact. John Wall and Bradley Beal are still the leaders and the team’s success will be largely dependent on their level of play.
