After the conclusion of every season, we like to wrap things up by reflecting on what happened. There’s no better way to reflect than to hand out the prestigious, annual Wiz of Awes awards.
The Wizards had possibly their best season in 38 years. They finished with 49 wins in the regular season. They took the number one seed Boston Celtics to seven games in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Washington also finished the regular season 30-11 at home, and went 6-0 in the playoffs.
For many fans, this was the best season of their lives. Yet, the way the season ended left a bad taste in fans’ mouths.
