The Trae Young era in Atlanta has come to an end after the Hawks agreed to trade the four-time All-Star to the Washington Wizards in the first blockbuster trade of the season.
Washington has been in heavy pursuit for an answer at the point guard position and after failed attempts to ink a long-term contract extension with the Hawks this offseason, Washington kept tabs on Young's situation in Atlanta.
When Washington was listed as Young's preferred landing spot, the Wizards urgency increased with the team's front office making it a priority to get a deal done sooner rather than later.
