The Washington Wizards have a lot riding on the development of their young core.
After years of selecting in the top of the NBA Draft Lottery, Washington has struggled to find the answers to the questions the fanbase has been asking for nearly a decade.
That question: When will the Wizards compete in the Eastern Conference again?
Until Washington manages to finally hit on one of their draft picks the answer to the fanbase's question will have to wait.
Fortnunately, Washington may have found a pair of building blocks in the 2024 NBA Draft in Alex Sarr and Kyshawn George, who have proven to be hidden gems in one of the weakest draft classes in recent years.
