The Washington Wizards rebuild was long overdue when the team's front office finally came to the harsh reality that a restart was needed.
Unfortunately, at this point, the team's rebuild is close to running it's course with not much to show for it.
Washington has taken several swings in the NBA Draft over the last few years with an abundance of selections made in the lottery, including the likes of Alex Sarr with the No. 2 overall pick and the recent pick of Tre Johnson at No. 6 overall this past offseason.
Despite that, the Wizards still don't have a clear cornerstone to build around and to make matters worse, several of their recent selections look like players who very could find themselves involved in future trades if they don't show promise sooner rather than later.
