The Wizards’ rebuild hits a turning point if this one thing breaks right

The Washington Wizards rebuild isn't quite at the ending of the runway yet, but along the way its become clear that general manager Will Dawkins, head coach Brian Keefe and the rest of the team's decision maker have done a solid job assembling a talented young roster along the way.

At the moment, the Wizards don't have a cornerstone to build around, unless emerging star and former No. 2 overall pick Alex Sarr can be considered the building block the team feels should be the center point of their roster construction moving forward.

Regardless, between Sarr and the sophomore leap of former first-round pick Kyshawn George, Washington has several pieces that have the chance to emerge as major contributors in the near future according to veteran guard CJ McCollum, who recently put a much-needed timeline on the Wizards young core.
