In the WNBA, midseason trades aren’t uncommon, but they aren’t unheard of either. And this season, it’s possible that the Washington Mystics may be a team that does just that.
According to Kendra Andrews and Alexa Philippou of ESPN, “multiple teams” have inquired about Edwards’ availability to the Mystics — and Washington is listening.
Edwards is in her second season for the Mystics, but is averaging just 4.9 points and 3.3 rebounds per game in the 2025 season. Furthermore, she is in a crowded frontcourt rotation which includes rookie Kiki Iriafen and a resurgent Shakira Austin.
