Scott Brooks: 'I have a great opportunity' as Wizards' new coach

Scott Brooks was introduced as the Washington Wizards’ new coach on Wednesday, with general manager Ernie Grunfeld saying that the hiring stems mostly from Brooks‘ reputation of developing players and finding success.

Brooks, 50, was most recently the coach of the Oklahoma City Thunder, spending parts of seven seasons in that role before being fired on April 22, 2015. He was named the coach of the year in 2010, when the Thunder won an additional 28 games over the previous season, and was twice selected to coach the Western Conference team in the All-Star Game.
