Reports: Wizards add two to COVID-19 protocols, bringing total to eight

The Washington Wizards on Tuesday placed center Montrezl Harrell and forward Rui Hachimura in the NBA’s health and safety protocols, according to multiple reports.

The additions to the COVID-19 list bring the team’s total to eight. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski was first to report the news.

Guard Aaron Holiday, forward Anthony Gill and center Thomas Bryant were placed in COVID-19 protocols on Monday, joining guards Bradley Beal, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Raul Neto, who were already on the shelf.

Hachimura had a chance to make his 2021-22 debut Tuesday night against the Miami Heat before being placed in protocols.
