Rare coloration saves lobster from getting served red-hot at a Mississippi Red Lobster

Employees at a Mississippi Red Lobster chose to spoil the boil after discovering a 1-in-30 million lobster with rare orange coloration

The lobster discovered Aug. 1 in Meridian, named “Biscuit” for the restaurant chain’s cheddar biscuits, is the second with the coloring to be found at a Red Lobster recently. In mid-July, another orange lobster, fished from the same area and named “Cheddar,” was found at a location in Hollywood, Florida.

“Biscuit” has been donated to the Ripley’s Aquarium of the Rockies in Tennessee. It was picked up by the aquarium on Monday, according to a video posted on Instagram.
