Washington Wizards small forward Otto Porter is unlikely to receive a contract extension off his rookie deal, making him a restricted free agent next summer, per CSN Mid-Atlantic's J. Michael citing unidentified league sources.
Porter, the No. 3 overall draft pick in 2013, and the Wizards have shown no movement toward an extension, much like they did with guard Bradley Beal last year. Beal eventually re-signed for $138 million earlier this month.
Porter's development with the Wizards has been slow. He has averaged 7.5 points per game over three seasons but showed promise this season by moving into the starting lineup full time.
