Shooting guard Bradley Beal will officially become a restricted free agent in about 10 weeks and soon after the 2016-17 salary cap year begins, he is hoping to re-sign with the Washington Wizards.
"If I can be here, I want to be here," Beal told CSN Mid-Atlantic last week. "I don’t even know what I’m going into right now. It’s like choosing colleges again. I’m happy where I am."
The Wizards should have over $20 million in salary cap room, if they wait to sign Beal, since his free agent cap hold will be less than his first-year salary in his new contract.
