Washington Wizards guard Tyus Jones is entering unrestricted free agency this summer. Though he is a free agent, Jones has expressed interest in remaining with the Wizards next season, according to Ava Wallace of The Washington Post.

In the 2023-24 NBA season, Jones averaged 12 points and 7.3 assists per game while making 48.9 percent of his shots and 41.4 percent of his three pointers in 66 appearances, all starts. Prior to coming to Washington, Jones was primarily a backup point guard for the Memphis Grizzlies and Minnesota Timberwolves.

Since Jones is just 27 (and will turn 28 on May 10), he, along with Kyle Kuzma, could be the kinds of veteran players that would serve the Wizards well in a long term rebuild.
