The Washington Mystics went into Las Vegas and handled business, knocking off the Aces 94-83 on Thursday night behind another strong performance from rookie guard Sonia Citron, who stepped up in the absence of Brittney Sykes, who had a right lower leg injury.
Citron led Washington’s scorers with 21 points on 7-of-13 shooting, including 3-of-4 from beyond the arc. She added 2 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal in 34 minutes, giving the Mystics steady offense through the first three quarters.
Sug Sutton finished with 17 points and 6 assists, shooting an efficient 7-of-12 from the field while playing the entire game.
