On Wednesday Josh Robbins of the Athletic reported that Monumental Sports & Entertainment will move all of their teams.
The Washington Wizards and Capitals will move from Capital One Arena to Alexandria in 2028, pending legislation. The Washington Mystics will move from the Entertainment and Sports Arena to Capital One Arena.
1/ Monumental Sports has formally announced it intends to move the Wizards and Caps to Alexandria and create an entertainment district there — all pending legislative approval — and has the framework of an agreement in place. The teams would start playing in a new arena in 2028.
