McRae out after finger surgery as Wizards' list of injuries grows

Washington Wizards guard Jordan McRae is out for at least two weeks after undergoing surgery to remove a pin that had been placed in his right ring finger during a previous procedure.

McRae suffered the initial injury, a fracture in the tip of his finger, in the season opener against the Mavericks. He returned to action and has played 13 games for Washington this season. But the pin became dislodged when McRae was playing on Nov. 22, so team doctors decided to remove it to avoid an infection developing.

McRae will be reevaluated in two weeks, adding to a long list of Wizards sidelined by injury or surgery.
