Kyshawn George finally granted his long-time wish

According to Libaan Osman of the Toronto Star, Washington Wizards wing Kyshawn George is joining the Canadian national team for the 2025 FIBA AmeriCup, fulfilling his long-time wish. It was just a few months back that George stated his desire to play for Team Canada, and now, he’ll have his first chance to do so at just 21 years old.

Canada has a stacked roster, and they proved their abilities at the Olympics last summer, led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Dillon Brooks, and others. However, George seems more than ready to contribute, as his three-point shooting and shot creation will fit in nicely alongside the rest of Canada’s lineup.
