On Saturday, John Wall held his annual backpack giveaway in Washington. It’s the fifth time he has done this for the D.C. area community, in particular for those from underprivileged neighborhoods. Kids who otherwise may not have the supplies they need to do well in school now can thanks to Wall’s generosity. Check out this video snippet from Hoop District:
John Wall's spirit of giving comes from growing up and his mom working multiple jobs just to let him play in basketball camps. Not paying the light bill. Wall sometimes did not have all the school supplies himself so he's trying to make sure others do not have to worry about it.
