Former Washington Wizards head coach, Flip Saunders, has passed away at the age of 60.
Saunders, who coached the Wizards from 2009 until 2012, had rejoined the Minnesota Timberwolves last summer. He was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and was replaced by Sam Mitchell. Today, the Wolves released a statement which announced his passing.
