Since the departure of John Wall and Bradley Beal, the Washington Wizards have desperately been searching for a franchise player they can build around.

Washington took a swing on the slim chance that Jordan Poole could develop into that player with an increased role.

They even selected Alex Sarr at No. 2 overall last offseason hoping that he could be that player for them, and while he still could be, early signs point to the realstic fact that the 7-footer may not be a franchise player but instead an above average rotation player or a two-way stud at his best.
